Make your own breakfast sausage with a venison seasoning that has been time-tested and perfected for use with deer, elk, bear, moose and other venison meats. Use any ground meat, mixed with the seasoning and then shape them into sausage patties, sausage links or any other form for delicious treats.
It's easy, just mix and cook to make your own breakfast sausage. Smokehouse Breakfast Sausage Mixes can be added to ground venison, store bought meat (including non-seasoned ground pork) or any other ground meat. When using lean venison or beef trim, mix with 30 percent pork fat. To extend quantity of meat, mix lean ground meat with 30 percent ground pork shoulder and an additional 10 percent pork fat. Above ratios will produce lean breakfast sausage, as compared to store bought.
Mix enclosed packet with one (1) cup cold water and mix thoroughly with 10 to 12 pounds (based on taste preference) of ground meat as per above. Refrigerate 12 hours before consumption or freezing.
Smoke flavor can be added by placing breakfast sausage in smoker with your favorite Smokehouse wood flavor fuel (wood chips, wood chunks or BBQ pellets).
